Assistant Headteacher - Frinton-on-sea Primary School

Assistant Headteacher – Curriculum and Standards with a three days teaching commitment

Full time 

Leadership Pay scale Point  1 to 5

Required from April/September 2026

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious and experienced leader to join our popular and thriving primary school as Assistant Headteacher. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues and children and significantly contribute to the continual development of the school.  Working as part of our committed and enthusiastic leadership team, you will hone your leadership skills as you work collaboratively to build on the school’s existing strengths. As part of the Penrose Learning Academy Trust, you will join a family of schools that benefit from supporting each other.

 

The role requires a driven Assistant Headteacher to not only join our school, playing a vital role in its strategic direction. The successful candidate who will have a three-day teaching commitment will initially have the key areas of responsibility - Curriculum and Standards and will 

  • Inspire and lead: Motivate staff and pupils alike, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Support and collaborate: Work closely with the Head of School, Academy Committee and Senior Leadership Team to drive the school forward, ensuring all children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Be a role model: Demonstrate a commitment to your own professional development and model best practices in leadership and teaching.
  • Uphold our values: ‘Ambition, Compassion, Commitment.’ We are an inclusive and caring community of ambitious learners who show commitment to our learning, take responsibility for our actions and care about one another. We help every pupil to do their very best academically, personally and emotionally, so they are ready for the next stage of their journey.
